It's officially Spring here in GR! The flowers are blooming, the temperatures are warming, and the romances are budding! Several of our friends are gearing up for the wedding season; and, being the hopeless romantic that I am, I can't wait! Last fall, we had the privilege of photographing Morgan and Adam's engagement before he went over to serve in Iraq. We're thrilled to say he's back safely, and they're busy making all the arrangements for a special military wedding. As you can see, they are a lot of fun and we want to be the first to say: CONGRATS!!

SEEING DOUBLE . . .
Check out this picture (click on it to see it bigger) - no, you're not seeing double, triple, or quadruple. This image was created by the talented team of Jake Heaton and Erik Fikkert. Jake took the pictures (he's an aspiring photographer) and Erik put the images together in Photoshop (he's an aspiring graphic designer)! As usual, the results were amazing! This proves, however, that you cannot believe what you see... So I no longer believe that super models are THAT skinny, that designer homes look THAT good, and that food is THAT beautiful when it's cooked!

SPRING BREAK - SIGH . . .
It's officially Spring Break in Michigan and more than 3/4 of our city has migrated to the south. Shopping malls are desolate, movie theatres are empty, and you can even get Starbucks coffee without waiting in line! Although I'm happy for all my friends who "took off," I cannot help but feel a little sadness--I miss the sun, the sand, and most of all the warm water minus the ice chunks!
BUT the good news is I think I've found a solution... After looking through our stockpile of pictures, I discovered images of better times - times when Spring Break meant warm temperatures, relaxation on the beach, and tropical sunsets over the water. So grab a fruity drink, put on some Jamaican music, and scroll through a virtual vacation:
Here's some places you could go:
When you get to your hotel, it should look something like this (notice the essential fan!):
Time to rent a scooter and explore paradise:
You've made it to the sand and sea--aaaaah!:
Grab some seafood at an out-of-the-way place:
Check out the birds never seen in the great north:
There's nothing more spectacular than a tropical sunset:
Finish your trip with a special dinner at the marina!
I feel better (I think...)

SPIFFY . . .
Believe me, I have taken A LOT of grief for this post. Apparently, all the men in my family do not see the value in showing the world our amazing dog. I, however, have chosen to share his adorable face despite their protests. This is my dog, Spiffy (AKA "stupid dog"). He was named after the "Spiffy Penguins" - a short-lived but well-loved band... He is truly as sweet as he looks and everyone who meets him (even dog haters) can't help but love him! If you ever need a great dog, check into the Maltese breed--they're wonderful!
