They lined up on Denton Street for over 10 minutes just to park! The police set up speed signs to make sure that people would crawl through the area at 25 mph. Tents, trucks, balloons and teams were everywhere as we arrived early Saturday morning. Although we knew it was big, we had no idea that the 26th Annual Canton Cup Tournament had over 500 teams participating. With 48+ soccer fields at 4 different locations and 85 games throughout the weekend, it was an amazing sight to see. Hotels were booked solid and kids, from younger than 9 and to older than 17, had the time of their lives running the halls and splashing in the pools.
Our group was no exception . . . The guys played hard (at soccer, too)! The highlight of the weekend was our team trip to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Pistons and the Red Wings. Although there was a wait, the guys had fun posing outside the restaurant (which ALMOST kept them out of trouble)!
Who knew they were so multi-talented?!?

IT'S MAGIC . . .
Every year, teens around the country choose to step out of their comfort zone and make a memory. The magic of the Junior/Senior Banquet or Prom begins with a creative invitation and this generation is more inventive than ever: giant signs, writing on cars, coffee cups with messages, digital picture frames, and even fish all to say, "will you go with me?" After an awkward "yes," boys order flowers they've never heard of, girls begin the mission for the "perfect" dress, and everyone prepares for a magical evening.
This year, we were privileged to have our two boys escort two beautiful ladies to the banquet. They had first-hand experience with door-opening, chair-pulling, and date-planning. Thankfully, they had two of the sweetest girls ever to make the memories that last a lifetime!
