TWILIGHT ZONE . . .

Sometimes you lose track of time... Oh, you start off with the best intentions, but then something clicks and before you know it, hours have gone by. There's always one common denominator in those situations--the fun people you're with. Kim's photoshoot was no exception. We started off with "senior pictures" in mind, and totally lost track of time because she is a blast!

Kim's proofbook shows the progression. She started off in Rockford posing beautifully by the river. Then she changed outfits and got some more "urbany" shots (with cute shoes). Maybe it was the bright lights, maybe it was the chocolate candy bars, or maybe it was the pink boots but something drastically changed in the studio. It began to feel more like a fashion shoot, and Kim tried on crazy hats, fun boots, and posed with umbrellas. We had so much fun that we totally lost track of time. With all her fun shots, I couldn't resist posting a few more than normal.

SEND IN THE CLOWNS . . .

Because Brice is a natural-born comedian, we had tons of fun looking through the most unusual (scrunched face, weird poses, cracking up) pictures in order to get some proofs that his family might accept. We have never seen someone with so many different expressions and so much energy! Eventually, we removed him from center stage (ie the studio) and took him out to Townsend Park.

There we met his dog, Brutus, who was more than happy to get into the act! They're made for each other!

WORD OF THE DAY . . .

"EQUESTRIAN" - of or relating to horse riding; a rider or performer on horseback.

Lauren's photo shoot was very fun and very unique. She walked on a tree-lined road, stood on a covered bridge over the river, and posed perfectly still with her horse (while everyone else jumped around like maniacs to get his attention!)

One of the things I love about photography is all the fascinating people you meet. Lauren introduced us to the world of horses and riding. Before we met her, we had no idea what the definition of the word "equestrian" on a high school jacket could be. We didn't have a clue about traveling with horses in trailers, grooming them, and showing them. Most of all, we never knew that a good picture of a horse had it's ears straight up! Isn't learning great?!

FOOTBALL FRENZY . . .

We caught Matt on a good day--a VERY good day--the day after he scored a touchdown the night before to help his team win! Matt is an amazing athlete. He runs cross country, plays football, and plays basketball at his school (and he's a starter, too)! He plans to attend GVSU to become an athletic trainer. I'm thinking he'll be the first trainer who will be able to wrap an injury and give coaching advice at the same time. If I had a team, I'd hire him!

Matt had lots of great ideas for pictures (which we LOVE), and he posed like a pro. After some pleading and groveling, Kristin (Matt's girlfriend) agreed to be in some of the pictures, and they couldn't be cuter! I think, however, that the award for getting Matt to smile should go to his dad for his "bunny ears!"

DOUBLE "TROUBLE" . . .

I had decided I would never post two senior's pictures together. My theory was, "they're individuals; they deserve their own space." But before you jump up and shout, "that's right -- you go girl!" . . . I've changed my mind!

All this pie in the sky thinking was BEFORE we met Nick and Trevor downtown. They decided to "endure" their senior pictures together, and I cannot tell you how much fun we had! Have you ever had your face hurt from laughing so much? They are crazy, and their pictures show it! Thankfully, we did manage to capture some typical senior shots amidst all the random poses.

To do their sessions justice and to get my name in the Guinness Book of World's Records for the world's longest blog post, I'll first show you Trevor's, then Nick's, and then Nick/Trevor. Here we go...

GOING GREEN . . .

Audra is easy-going and it really showed while she ran around posing here, there, and everywhere with her twin brother. I think she had a picture taken in every conceivable "senior setting" known to mankind... what patience! She even ran under the bridge by the Grand River while she waited out a MAJOR thunderstorm!

Her favorite color is green, and she had the cutest green shoes I have ever seen. Unfortunately, Jerry sometimes chooses to focus on the senior's faces instead of highlighting an outstanding fashion item--I'm working on his priorities! If you look closely, though, you can still see them a little bit!
