We're Almost There . . .

Well, sorta almost... Actually, we're not anywhere near "there", but I NEED to celebrate the little accomplishments. Who can endure this torture without a little satisfaction? How do you go on when there's so much to do? What is the meaning of life? (OK, OK - that may have been a little dramatic...)

On to the progress update:

1. There's a brick wall where there was an overhang and a closet;



2. There's a cement floor where there was an iron-burned carpet;



3. There's a new tin ceiling where there were holes; and



4. There's no more ugly electrical boxes everywhere you look!





What a difference a week can make! Soon we can start constructing the things that matter (at least to me...) like a bathroom, a kitchen, and a laptop bar. Stay tuned...

When The Dust Settles . . .

Yes, there's dust--we're talkin  "are you in there?!?"  clouds of dust...  Call me crazy, but I am confident that Vividimage Studios will soon emerge from behind the cloud as one of THE coolest photography spaces in Grand Rapids!  We've got a team of builders, painters, and designers working feverishly to complete the dream (special thanks to friends, family, and c-squad too!) Although you can't see it from the pics below, we'll have a 12 ft. brick wall, an embossed tin ceiling, an aromatherapy bathroom, a laptop bar, a kitchenette,  and a CYC (photography term) wall.  Within the next couple of months, we'll host an open house (complete with snacks!); be on the lookout for the invite.  In the meantime, back to work...
