NO FEAR . . .

Usually Jerry makes me nervous when he climbs all over to "get the shot!" This time, however, Nadia beat him hands down - she is fearless (well, almost). I think I said "careful" 2000 times - don't be fooled by this normal pose...

VARIETY . . .

Megan had a different "look" for every location. She started off with jeans and a t-shirt and ended with a beautiful dress and heels! And wait till you see the 'special effect' she planned in the middle...

FULL CIRCLE . . .

Kristie is unbelievable! She literally went from shy and reserved to "working it" (inside joke) for the paparazzi in 2 short hours. We actually deleted some pictures because she was laughing so hard. And wait till you see the serious ones!

YOU NEVER KNOW . . .

Shooting on location is always an adventure. When you pull up at an old building, you never know what's around the corner - it keeps it fresh!

Unfortunately, "fresh" is the last word that came to mind when we got out of the car at Andy's shoot. As soon as the door shut, we noticed a foul smell coming from somewhere near. We decided to ignore it and get started. Everything was tolerable until Jerry asked Andy to move the chair closer to the building... Let's just say if the police were around, the yellow tape would abound (sorry, bad ryhme)!

Here's some of his shots - can you say "model"...

CALM, COOL, COLLECTED . . .

Brian is cool - like "feet up on the couch," "cruising with the top down," "hangin' out" cool! While we ran around from location to location, he calmly moved in to pose and then waited patiently for us to set up the next shot. You won't believe some of his backgrounds!!

IT'S NOT A JOB, IT'S AN ADVENTURE . . .

Sometimes seniors feel like pictures can be a "job"... but, as usual, Jerry made it an adventure! Here's a sneak peak at Zach, looking relaxed before all the lights, bells and horns went off! Stay tuned...

ISN'T IT IRONIC . . .

If you knew Graham, you'd know the picture below is ironic... Even though 90% of his pictures are fun and unique (just like him!), I posted the one "typical" senior picture. Trust me; you'll love the rest of his pictures even more - they're amazing!

LORD OF THE RING . . .

I know, I know - RIDICULOUS title - but I was desperate to get the "ring" into it and it was the only thing that popped into my head! Please forgive me...

Tyler's first pictures included some nature (trees, streams, etc.) You'd think this would be easy, but he struggled to stay upright for the first hour while Jerry had him climb on hills, sit on rocks, and even walk out on a cement edge over a waterfall. I know he didn't expect to work so hard, and with a sigh of relief, we decided to do some downtown shots - how treacherous could that be?

After changing into his football outfit, Tyler transformed into the state championship football player he is. We had a blast capturing his trophy ring and all the rugged football images. Everything was going along fine until a pit-bull named "Angel" tried to get into the act; thankfully, we managed to keep her out of the pictures!

WORDS OF ADVICE . . .

Kyle had lots of advice on his photoshoot - he brought his mom, his girlfriend (Paige), AND even his little sister (Kayla) along. Any guy who brings three ladies along is very brave! Even with all their various opinions of what shirt to wear, where to be, and how to pose, he was amazingly kind and patient. I think he has paybacks in mind!

We especially liked the pictures of his guitar... He's planning to attend Calvin next year, but maybe he should become a star - he'd look great on a CD cover!

PIER 2001 . . .

I know, it's usually "Pier 1", but at Kaylee's session in Grand Haven it truly was Pier 2000 and 1 - Kaylee was the "1" and there were "2000" other people on the pier - we were lucky it didn't sink!

She patiently waited for the breaks in the crowds; and it paid off - she's alone in all of her pictures except this one (which shows the whole pier.) Here's what it was like......................wait for it........................

AIR-BREATHING CHELICERATE ANTHROPODS . . .

That is the Wikipedia way of describing one of the most disgusting things on the planet - spiders! I couldn't hate them more... Liz and I are both recovering from her photoshoot where we were totally creeped out. Athough we never actually SAW them, the evidence was everywhere, and we could hardly stand it!

Big kudos go to Liz for overcoming her fears to get the shot. Her pictures are AMAZING! Here's a preview...

A WALK IN THE PARK . . .

It was an absoutely gorgeous night. Ashley's pictures truly were "a walk in the park" - Townsend Park. We were thrilled when she commented that she liked to go bare foot, and that she would even go in the water - BONUS!! Can't wait to show you the rest...

DR. DOOLITTLE . . .

Remember the story of "Dr. Doolittle" when you were a kid? We were wishing it could be true at Alex's photo session - several animals joined her. Unlike the story, they didn't respond to "tilt your head, look over here, or even be still!"

Here's Alex - you'll have to wait to see her animal friends!

WHO KNEW . . .

Rain, rain, thunderstorm, rain - the weather forecast was bleak (even for GR!) We waited till the VERY last minute and then called Stephanie. Being the "throw caution to the wind" kind of person she is, we decided to give it a try...if all else failed, we could get ice cream! Who knew it would be perfect?!?

Here's a sneak preview of what's to come and, trust me, you won't want to miss this...

DOOR DANGER . . .

Member this?!? -

Kara's pictures were going along just fine until Jerry spotted this door... He thought it would be a great background for her gorgeous yellow blouse - the only problem was that it was an entrance to a pub downtown with people going in and out! I didn't think it was worth risking head injury, but Kara is adventurous. When given the choice, she decided to go for it.

What you can't see is me just out of the shot desperately pushing with all my might to keep the door closed (and Kara safe) while she smiles as if she just found this random door to sit against... This girl is GOOD! Here's some more shots from her collection:

CSI . . .

Andy's picture session was one of THE most interesting we've ever had! We had a real-life mystery on our hands; unfortunately, we have no investigation skills so it still remains unsolved. Stay tuned...

In the meantime, here's a shot from Andy's session. As you can tell, he was a natural model - totally unfazed by our dorky jokes!

HERE WE GO AGAIN . . .

Every year (well almost) we make the pilgrimage to Detroit to watch the Rams play in the MI State Championships! The ocean of orange in the stands is beyond belief! Literally everyone wears some type of orange because Rockford has THE most spirit ever!

Tyler knows about it first-hand; he's one of the guys who gets to witness it from the field. He even has a championship ring to prove it! Here's just one of his photos - we'll show you the ring later!
