We just got back from attending WPPI--an amazing conference for photographers! We learned A LOT from the seminars which went on all day from 8:30 am til 10:30 pm (which is 1:30 pm our time!)
We didn't have badges when we first got there, but the Director of WPPI Operations, Arlene Evans, took charge and got us right in!! When we found Sabarro pizza in our hotel, we knew it was going to be a good week!!
Even though LV is famous for gambling, we're definitely not "high rollers". We felt relieved when the people on the shuttle asked where to find the penny machines in Bally's!!
One of the coolest things we learned was "mirroring". Jerry Ghionis www.jerryghionisphotography.com explained that you can help people pose for pictures if you tell them to copy you as if they are seeing into a mirror. To demonstrate, he had us all stand up to "mirror" him and before we knew it, we were dancing to YMCA blaring over the load speakers--it was too fun!
At night, we went out and about to take advantage of the awesome photo ops. We came across a model posing for a group of photographers and, of course, Jerry couldn't resist taking some of his own shots!
I'll finish with some awesome pictures from the area around our hotel. Could it be more beautiful?!?
